(stock symbol) ) has acquired German start-up Internet discount auction company DailyDeal, the latter announced today without disclosing the price of the deal.
DailyDeal is managing online discount auction portals in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It was founded by the Fabian and Ferry Heilemann brothers almost two years ago.
The brothers will remain part of the management board after the takeover by Google.
Google is constantly adding services to its portfolio next to the core activities of providing information, search engines and maps.
