Tommy Asher, former president of CPS Corporation, passed away on Dec. 30, 2011 after a lengthy illness. He was 73.
Mr. Asher was born May 12, 1938 in Pineville, KY. He resided for the past 23 years in Fort Lauderdale Fort Lauderdale (lô`dərdāl), residential, commercial, and resort city (1990 pop. 149,377), seat of Broward co., SE Fla., on the Atlantic coast; settled around a fort built (c.1837) in the Seminole War, inc. 1911. , FL.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Butcher (Szczerbacki) Asher; children Karen Asher Young and Dale Asher; stepdaughters Denise Szczerbacki Fishkin and Diana Szczerbacki Reincke; granddaughter Megan; and stepgrandchildren Sarah, Rachel, Jeremy, Logan and Landen.
